三重県を拠点に活動する音楽家、Yui Da Capo。
10代よりバンド活動を始め、ボーカル、ギター、ベース、作詞・作曲など、特定の役割にとらわれず音楽活動を続ける。
20代前半には自身が中心となって結成したロックバンド「CHILD」で活動。
作詞・作曲を手掛けながら、バンドという形を通して自身の音楽表現を築いていく。

CHILD解散後、新たな音楽性を模索する中で「Lily」の楽曲制作を開始。

同時期、インストゥルメンタルバンド「瞬幕」にベーシストとして参加する。

自身が構想を主導する活動とは異なり、一人のプレイヤーとして他者の音楽を具現化する経験を重ねた。

その後も長い時間をかけて楽曲制作と表現の探求を続け、ロックを基盤としながら、オルタナティブ、プログレッシブ、エレクトロニック、映画音楽的なアプローチなど、ジャンルの境界に限定されない音楽へと発展していく。

作詞、作曲、ボーカル、ギター、ベース、シンセサイザー。

担当する楽器そのものではなく、「何を表現するか」から必要な手段を選ぶことを自身の音楽制作の根幹としている。

現在は、バンドプロジェクト「Lily」と並行し、ソロプロジェクト「Yui Da Capo」として活動。

これまで培ってきた音楽性を基盤としながら、バンドという形式にも、特定のジャンルにも縛られない作品を発表していく。

Yui Da Capo is a musician based in Mie, Japan.

Beginning his musical journey in his teens, he has continued to explore music beyond fixed roles, working across vocals, guitar, bass, songwriting, and composition.

In his early twenties, he formed and led the rock band CHILD. Through songwriting and composition, he began to establish his own musical expression within the framework of a band.

Following the dissolution of CHILD, he began writing music for Lily while searching for a new musical direction. Around the same time, he joined the instrumental band Shunmaku as a bassist. Unlike projects driven by his own artistic vision, Shunmaku gave him the experience of working purely as a player, bringing another artist’s musical ideas to life.

Over the years, he has continued to pursue songwriting and artistic expression, developing a sound rooted in rock while drawing from alternative, progressive, electronic, and cinematic music—without being confined by genre boundaries.

Songwriting, composition, vocals, guitar, bass, synthesizer. Rather than defining himself by the instruments he plays, Yui chooses whatever means are necessary according to what he wants to express. This approach lies at the core of his creative process.

Today, alongside his band project Lily, he works under the solo project Yui Da Capo. Building upon the musical language he has developed throughout his career, he continues to create works unconstrained by the format of a band or the boundaries of any particular genre.
